Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and Gafat Technologies PLC, which runs Zemenay. You accept them when you buy something here or upload artwork.

Your account

Customers sign in with a phone number and a code sent by SMS — whoever holds the number holds the account, so keep it to yourself. Designers sign in with an email address and a password. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Orders, prices and payment

Nothing is made until you order it. Prices are in Ethiopian birr, and the delivery fee is shown in your bag before you pay. You pay by transfer from your own Telebirr or CBE app and then send us the receipt; the order is confirmed once we have matched the transfer against it. A receipt we cannot verify is rejected and the order stays unpaid. Nothing is ever charged inside the app.

Delivery

We deliver in Ethiopia, to the address you enter at checkout. Delivery times are estimates, not promises — printing, collection and the courier all sit between your payment and your door. If we cannot reach the address, we call the number on the order.

Returns and refunds

A printed item is made for one person, so it cannot simply go back on a shelf. What we do about a damaged, wrong or undelivered order is set out on the Refund policy page, and that page is the authority on it.

What you upload

You keep the rights to your own artwork. By publishing it here you grant us the licence we need to print it, show it and sell it on the marketplace, and to show it when we promote the marketplace. Unpublish it or ask us to take it down and that stops — except for what we still need to finish orders already placed.

You promise the work is yours, and that it infringes nobody.

These are not allowed:

• artwork using someone else's copyright or trademark — logos, characters, club badges, album covers
• a real person's face, name or likeness without their permission
• sexual content, and anything at all that sexualises a child
• content that attacks or demeans people for who they are: ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, gender or sexuality
• threats, graphic violence, or anything glorifying either
• illegal goods, drugs and weapons
• deception — a design passing itself off as an official product, a brand, or an organisation it has nothing to do with

If you are not sure whether a design is acceptable, ask us before you publish it.

How we moderate: every upload is screened automatically before it can be published, and anything the screen flags goes to a person to decide. Nothing reaches the shop unreviewed.

How to report something: every product page carries a report control at the bottom. It reaches the review team directly and you do not need an account to use it. For anything that is not about a single product, use the Contact page.

What we do about it: we can refuse a design, unpublish or take down one that is already live, and suspend or close the account of someone who does it repeatedly. We may act before a dispute is settled, because leaving contested work on sale is the greater harm.

Intellectual-property claims: if you hold a right and something here infringes it, write to [email protected] with a link to the product page, exactly what is infringed, proof that the right is yours, a statement that you are making the claim in good faith, and a way to reach you. We answer claims in the order they arrive and take down what needs taking down.

Designer earnings

A royalty accrues to you on every sale of your work. It becomes payable once the order has been delivered and the eligibility window on it has passed, and a refunded order reverses the earning it created. Your Studio earnings page carries the live figures and is the authority on them.

What we are not liable for

We are responsible for printing and delivering the order you placed. We are not responsible for what follows beyond that — a missed occasion, lost profit, or a transfer you sent to the wrong account. Nothing here removes a right Ethiopian law gives you and does not let us sign away.

Changing these terms

We publish changes on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Keep using Zemenay after that and you accept them.
